can do.
Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or
predecessors. Try to be better than yourself."

Writing fiction has become one of the
most rewarding experiences of my life, something that I would do even
if there was no hope of earning a living from doing it. A good portion
of the enjoyment I find in writing comes from sharing my work with
others and having them find in my work ideas and emotions that
correlate with their own experience.
Writing is something that is
simultaneously both very solitary and very social. This page is where
the
solitary process of writing reaches the ultimate end for which writing
is always destined: the audience.
Headlining the offerings here is my as-yet-unpublished novel, The
Killing of Henry Hughes, available in its entirety for free.

In addition, on my Short
Stories
page, you'll find, Finishing
Second, the first of many short stories to come.
I have a number of fiction writing projects in process. I am
actively working on my next novel-as I can carve out time between all
my other endeavors-and I have dozens of ideas that I have not yet put
to paper. In the weeks and months to come, I will be thinking
about ways to add content here that will let you inside the writing
process, and be the first to preview my newest material.
